Days of Glory - Hugh O'Brian Visit

On August 9, 2009, famed actor Hugh O'Brian, who played Wyatt Earp on television was the special guest at the Wyatt Earp Birthplace.

"...From 1-4 p.m., an open house will be held at the Wyatt Earp Birthplace Museum, 406 South Third St. Admission to the National Register property, which contains historic exhibits and a gift shop, is $2 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-12.

At 2 p.m., the Shady Creek Shootists, an area antique shooting society, will stage reenactments of Earp’s famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral. The event will be presented at a mock corral, located next to the museum. Dan Porter, who heads the group, urges spectators to be there early. “The actual gunfight only took about 22 seconds, so it won't last long,” he explained, but added, “We will run through it a couple of times, at least.” Admission to the shootouts is $2 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-12...."
